Heavy Eliminator for sale!
And I thought that was only a fun talk around the campfire...

The Heavy Eliminator for sale here (Swedish): http://www.usabil.nu/databas/Detalj.asp?ID=82394

We've seen your ad at www.usabil.com that you've done together with Sören "Fixarn" so we just want
to know...

- Why?

It wasn't planned in the beginning, but the idea evolved after the car shipped and arrived in Sweden
and I thought, well now that the car is in Sweden I would not mind if someone made me an offer for the
car. Then the thought..."What if someone buys it?" then I can't race at Santa Pod. So if there's a buyer I
really hope that he still can leave a window open for me to do as planned, to race it at European
Finals next year, and be with me at the race.

-It's rather inexpensive isn't it, I mean for all the things in it?
Maybe but it's Fixarn behind this and he says the cost of custom and things will be added, but I'm
glad it's him on this because he's the guru. I did already pay more than $3000 USD to have the car
shipped from USA to Sweden so I figure the potential buyer will save in that area.

-No more racing then?
HA! Well I haven't had so much time for racing anyway since I started to build engines in Ellwein Engines.
I had these nice two races in Norrland on my vacation and in the USA I had only raced at two events
for 2008. So my total racing for 2008 is four events, (2 in USA--2 in Norrland).
But don't forget, I have one Impala SS (Black) at home in the USA if I get the urge. Right now my black
USA Impala SS is slower than the Sweden Impala SS but I'm going to get busy and put strong ERE-383
motor in it and go road racing. The black USA impala SS already has a road race chassis with
big 6-piston Wilwood calipers and giant anti-sway bars.
My other racing B-body in the USA is called The Black Wolf and it is currently the quickest
and fasteset of any 94-96 Impala SS or Caprice running on all motor. 10.74 @ 127mph. The Black
Wolf is all race. It has been gutted of all extra weight. It is the most fun
to drive because even running all motor it feels damn fast going down the track.

-What more to add about the car, that you can't see in the ad?
I cannot read the Swedish in the advertisement but I have more to add. The transmission in The
Heavy Eliminator is very fresh/new. It was built by Shane Cobb at Carolina Performance Transmissions
and it was installed early this year 2008. The torque converter, on the other hand, is quite tired.
It is a ProYank 3600 rpm and I think it's on it's last leg. The new owner should know this.

The Heavy Eliminator is 1/2 strip and 1/2 street. That means it is not 100% comfortable on the
street and it's not 100% as fast as can be on the strip. But I like the combination. It is a very good
bracket racing car and it's mostly OK on the street.

The current motor combination:
A stock 350LT1 bottom end with stock LT1 crank/rods/pistons. The engine had the cylinder bores honed
last year and new piston rings installed. Then just prior to shipping to Sweden I installed the Stef's oil pan
along with a big block Chevy oil pump and I painted the engine black, (over the old red paint)
and I installed my sponsor's heads and camshaft, (Advanced Induction). The previous heads and cam on
the same engine took the Heavy Eliminator to an 11.67 @ 119mph but the car was 200 lb lighter then.
I think the current heads and cam is capable of low 12's all natural and with a better torque
converter and shorter tires possibly a high 11.

The car also has a mild nitrous system. The throttle body plate can be tuned for 175hp and it's a very
reliable system. I have tuned it for 100hp in Sweden and ran a 12.1 elapsed time at Fällfors Airbase,
Skellefteå. The Accell ignition module and controller is very good at controlling the nitrous and
the engine when running nitrous.

Please know that many of the parts that should be with the car are not in Sweden. I have the front
Impala SS seat at my house along with the rear bumper steel and passenger airbag and original Impala SS
steering wheel and the air conditioner system. Those items can be shipped if the new owner is
planning to make the car more street and less strip.

Some of the nice/expensive items on the car along with the fresh 4L60E already mentioned:
Carbon fiber drive shaft,
Custom Stef's oil pan
Advanced Induction CNC ported cylinder heads
Advanced Induction hydraulic roller camshaft (mild lobe profile).
Crane shaft rockers---modified by me to fit under the valve covers
New Hooser slicks (brand new before the Sweden races).
Very light weight carbon fiber hood.
Accell Ignition system.
Nitrous Works throttle body plate system with Nitrous Express 15 lb bottle and bottle heater.
Chrome-Moly roll bar with FIA spec. firewall behind the back seat.
Fairly new Stroud safety harness.
Eaton Posi rear with 4.10 ring and pinion ratio.

There are few quirks and blemishes on some items in the car and I'll tell about all that if the potential
buyer contacts me.

Thanks Karl. I hope that it will be a good separation from your first SS, I mean you bought it new
from the dealer! It's the car that formed you to the "King Karl" as we all know you within the
Impala SS community.
And it will also be very interesting to see WHO will be the new owner/racer!
This car is shown in our garage - TBDGIT - in Gothenburg. Mail Sören "Fixarn" to book a look:
