I just love to be in this environment! And I know you do too. So much passion in one place!
Coming here to the last race of The Cup I was in the 5th place, but I had a secret plan which
I of course told everybody:
To be no 1 qualifyer and to win...

" - Bamse, how do you know that a blonde have sent the fax?"
- No?
- You see the stamps ha ha ha ha ha he!?

- Well, you could just fax'em back to her...or?
Note the six stickers that show you cleared inspections and competed in the all the Nordic Pro Street Cup's races!
That gives you a 200 point bonus and that put me on the trophy stand. Of course with a little help from my friends
like Björn "Bamse" Andersson. And it was an especially good feeling that we were alone in the class Real
Street that actually drove our car to all the races as well. Stupid or not - no Trailer Queen.

Aha, there is the Mozart of The Bilsport Magazine - Gunnar Ljungstedt - kneeling to take some action pics of me!!
OK, I'll pretend that I don't see the official waving me out of the burn box (because he wants to save the airfield from
holes in the asphalt) I just hold here for a 7 seconds more on full throttle with nitrous on the highest gear! Yiihaaa!!!!

I'm pretty satisfied with how I got this big car to react at the dragstrip. A combination of my old experience and ideas from
my '67 Camaro in the 80's - and just reading the Impala SS Forum what the other Impala SS-racers in the USA are doing
with their cars and that are willing to share their knowledge! I think those adjustable HAL shock absorbers is a must to
make the 60 feets in 1.6's and wheelstands as well. But you got to find out the personal setting yourself. To slow the
reaction of the suspension a little I have an airbag in the right rear spring pumped to 15 psi. Here my HAL-settings are:

Left front: 0 Right front: 1
Left rear: 5 Right rear: 7

Leif Ivarsson really knows how to do it and is always the absolute dominant in class Street.
With an Autoshop built 522 ci he's running 8's - using only 10.5" wide slicks! (rules). Respect.
Heads are Dart 360 race ported and flow tested by Lennart "Bagarn". Custom designed
nitrous camshaft. Callies crank. Venolia pistons. JW Ultracase trans and Turbo Action converter.
All Autoshop designed and with Autoshop specifications for this particular Camaro.

"Take a nut and take a look on the motor!"
We didn't have much to do on the car between rounds so "Bamse" did new
things. This was very popular even if there wasn't much to look at.

Gunnar missed all my wheelstands! Hasse at SPN didn't as you can see...
I actually became No 1 qualifier with a 0.001 reaction - by going too tight at the tree the whole time and of course getting
redlights almost at every run. That No 1 spot meant extra points. In the Eliminations I got a pair of by-runs and some luck
if you compare to the beginning of this season. Had a level of 12.7's and I collected a lot of points this weekend as I was
hoping for and could therefore climb to be Number 3 in The Cup!

It was decided on the very last race! The Runner Up - Danish Mikael Christansen (Ford Fairlane) and the
Winner - Swedish Johan Gustavsson standing by his 10 second BB Chevelle.
Photographed by No 3 who bowed and said: CONGRATULATIONS TRAILER QUEENS!!!!

I didn't get far on the way home until the original in-tank fuelpump died! Had to take a
towtruck to the nearest gas station with a garage. Nova quickly discovered a ground
cable that had lost its meaning in life!
What if that had happened a couple of hours ago at WOT and nitrous on! Scary...

A cable overlook.
