We didn't know it, no lists were up and no one told us.
So we packed and went home from Mantorp.
And missed the price awards ceremony where they called my name.
We had won the V8-class among some 50 others at the huge Bilsport Action Meet with our 10.14 ET. Spinning slicks, sliding rear end.
We didn't know it until we read about it here today, sunday:
http://www.bilsport.se/news.php?id=48049
But we will soon enough get the report from that great race on this site.
Cheers!

congratulations "Grattis" on the team win at your sponsor's "Bilsport" event.
Did you register under the name "Bostic Bolero"?

Thanks Jöjje!
Karl, yes I entered in my race name Bostic Bolero
Must explain the latest update on the Bilsport List; the 8 first cars (above me) actually raced in Max Street (real "bad" cars).
And also some cars below me raced in Max Street.
It will be much clearer when they've sorted that list out. |

Nice work Team Blackout!
When was your last win? This has to be very rewarding, a little vendication for all the hard work.

Thanks Stumpy!
Well, I guess that the only thing the Blackout SS has ever won before was a Autocross-race, in December of 2002.
It has been some second places and things too.
But as you know since we went with Bagarn's Jeezus-engine the main focus was time slips, not the races itself - as the first year when we went bracketing with the stock LT1 on nitrous (and become 3rd in the series).
Always felt interrupted when Eliminations began.
And would gladly do break outs if I knew we were going to have a chance on going quicker and faster...
Bilsport Action Meet - like all their One day at the Strip events - actually are time slip racing, no ladders - so I guess it just was right this time even if we didn't reach our true potential.
We will soon... |
