BUMPERS which shouldn't be used to bump with

Behind the urethane bumper skins, heavy steel bumpers that'll help more in an eventual encounter with
another car than it will on the dragstrip. Since I'm trying to just move the weight backwards in the car I kept
the rear metal bumper but I deleted the front one. So if you want to hit me, please come from behind...

This weight saving just balanced out the weight of the supercharger, intercooler and stuff..

A Stillen smooth fiberglass front bumper sold by StreetTrends. It is 1" lower than the stock front and has
an opening in the middle for a polished billet grille - custom style. I prefer to cut it open to get cold air.
It's only
10 lb (4.5 kg)!

Viva Cardboard Dummies!!! I can't work without cardboard, pen and a pair of scissors! In this case my
friend Tommy Aga then took over and translated the cardboard to aluminium. And talking light weight,
this is the lightest set of bumper supports I know of. Two aluminium 90 degree brackets which simply
let the fiberglass bumper rest on top with thin rubber layers in between. Sits in original bolt holes.

Tommy Aga is putting his final TIG-touch to it. The aluminium bar - weighing a couple of ounces - is bolted
in between the brackets. The bumper is fastened with four small bolts in the original places into the bar.
The bar comes off together with the bumper. Step on it? Of course not! Why?

Imagine it all black - Black as a moonless night!

Lasse "Navaho" was a helping hand with the change of rear bumper. Here he is holding the stock one.

A smooth rear bumper in urethane (like the original) was also bought from StreetTrends in Carlsbad,
California. Partnumber is #11123. No weight savings but since I go smooth in the front I need to
smooth up in the rear as well. You'll find the link to StreetTrends at "Friends"
