CHASSIE - SHOCKS, SPRINGS, SWAYBARS and A-ARMS

The single most improving investment was to change from the OEM de Carbon shocks
to the 12-way adjustable HAL shocks. With these I really can adjust the behavior
of the car for Street, Autocross or Dragracing.

Rear springs. I bought an Eibach Pro Kit to lower the SS but it didn't lower more than 1" in the rear,
if that. The Suspension Technologies springs lower a full 2" but are much stiffer.

From stock swaybar to the
thicker - 1 7/16" - but hollow Hotchkis swaybar was a very noteable change. Both on the road and in the wallet! Other SS-owners certified: "Yaah, it'll be like a go-kart!"
Well, that was true together with
all the other chassie mods!
Kill rubber -
long live Polyrethane!

Chris Nickell in Illinois, USA, made a series of these unique A-arms for B-body in tubular mild steel!
I sure got a set up, but n
ever mounted them on Blackout SS, so many other things had to be done
first. Now I have them for sale, never used, for the same price as back then - USD 300!

A lot has happened in the SS with the change to new Engine, Transmission and Rear End.
Please take a look further in those pages.
