FLOOR JOB

Passenger side. A series of good hard smacks on the floor with a short sledge
hammer will level it out a
little bit for a better weld surface. Yes, it'll hurt your SS-heart, think of
something else
or get someone else to do it for you!
This is why I wanted to rely on body instead of frame when anchoring the roll
bar. Body has 2 to 4
layers of steel welded together at this foot of the B-pillar...

...compared to the sub frame which isn't boxed to begin with! It is more of
an U-profile. It's my life after all.

Driver's side. Check positions and matchings often. What's left of the primary
paint after the welding can
help to protect against rust. We will also as a last protection cover these
four holes/bolts underneath
with a good slime.

Weld is making these Domex-brackets permanent Chevrolet. Note the fifth hole
on the floor-plate to the
left, we'll press in that good anti-rust slime there to fill any spaces.
